Technical Advisor Janna Garofolo

Janna Garofolo serves as a Technical Advisor.

Ms. Garofolo received her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992, where she was inducted into the Eta Kappa Nu Honor Society.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Garofolo worked for SigmaTel, later Integrated Device Technology, where she was a senior applications engineer. She was responsible for silicon validation, evaluation board design and worldwide technical customer support for SigmaTel’s PC audio codec product line. Ms. Garofolo also worked for Motorola’s Semiconductor Products Sector as both a product engineer and an applications engineer. At Motorola, Ms. Garofolo developed test software and hardware for microcontrollers and provided worldwide technical support for partners and customers of Motorola’s Streamaster DSL set-top box.

Ms. Garofolo’s experience includes bench-level silicon validation, mixed-signal board design and verification, hardware and software process development, PC audio circuit design, Windows audio driver debug, and test software and hardware development. Ms. Garofolo also held management positions in product, test and applications engineering and served as a technical lead in developing QS9000 and ISO9000 compliant hardware and software development processes at both Motorola and SigmaTel.
