Technical Advisor John M. Stevens
John Stevens serves as a Technical Advisor specializing in software patent preparation and prosecution.
Mr. Stevens received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, magna cum laude, from the University of Houston where he received the University of Houston Academic Achievement Scholarship and the R.W. Baldwin Pi Kappa Alpha Engineering Scholarship. Mr. Stevens was also selected to the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Stevens worked as an engineer for MTS Global, Inc. and JAMSS America, Inc. specializing in operations development for the International Space Station (ISS) responsibilities of the Japan Aerospace and Exploration Agency (JAXA). This role included assignments at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama and JAXA’s Tsukuba Space Center in Tsukuba, Japan. While at MTS Global, Mr. Stevens also participated in NASA Safety and Mission Assurance activities related to the Space Shuttle program and the ISS program.
Mr. Stevens has focused his career on the preparation and prosecution of computer and software-related patents. His professional experience includes patent preparation and prosecution for numerous companies including Amazon.com, Adobe Systems, and Sun Microsystems, among others.
