Director/Shareholder B. Noel Kivlin
B. Noel Kivlin specializes in intellectual property with an emphasis in patent prosecution and counseling in the electrical arts, particularly integrated circuits, microprocessor-based systems, and computer software.
Mr. Kivlin received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with distinction in 1988 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mr. Kivlin also worked with a radio frequency design group of Honeywell, Inc. in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mr. Kivlin attended Santa Clara University School of Law, where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1992. He began his career in patent law at Honeywell, Inc. in 1988 and practiced as a patent agent and subsequently as a patent attorney with Skjerven, Morrill, MacPherson, Franklin & Friel in San Jose, California and Austin, Texas from 1989 to 1993.
In his professional career, Mr. Kivlin has procured patents for many international companies including Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., Sun Microsystems, Inc., and LSI Logic Corporation.
Mr. Kivlin is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and in California State Courts.
