Technical Advisor David McDonough
David McDonough serves as a Technical Advisor.
Mr. McDonough received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT in 1976 and 1978, respectively.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McDonough managed a wide range of Internet technology developments. During five years as a senior software development manager at Vignette Corp., he led the development of numerous Java-based web content management products, with a particular focus on user interfaces and presentation technologies. He also worked at Fore Systems Inc. developing ATM-based broadband access equipment, including central office systems for cable modems, digital subscriber lines, and video-over ATM. Prior to his time with Fore Systems, Mr. McDonough directed the development of digital information services delivered via television signals including ONTV(tm), a pioneering, pre-WWW information broadcasting service similar to present day information portals. He also has extensive research and development experience in electronics and electro-optics. He contributed to the development of space-qualified laser communication systems at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, as well as machine vision systems, industrial uses of thermal imaging equipment, control systems for semiconductor manufacturing, and laser-based micro-positioning equipment.
