Patent Agent Erik A. Heter

Mr. Heter completed his studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) in December 1995, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Heter also worked as an electronic technician at International Business Machines Corporation while pursuing his degree.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Heter worked as a test engineer at Xetel Corporation, developing and supporting in-circuit and functional tests for circuit boards contained in a wide variety of electronic systems. These systems included mobile computers, cellular modems, optical-to-electrical transceivers for gigabit Ethernet applications, global positioning systems, and mobile phone systems. Mr. Heter has also served six years in the United States Navy, as a sonar technician aboard the nuclear-powered submarine USS Olympia.
