Chris Thompson specializes in the areas of patent prosecution, licensing and intellectual property counseling.
Mr. Thompson received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1986. While an undergraduate, he was selected for membership in Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and Pi Tau Sigma Mechanical Engineering Honorary Fraternity. After graduation, Mr. Thompson worked for six years as a design engineer for The Boeing Company and Astro International Corporation.
Mr. Thompson received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 1996. While in law school, Mr. Thompson served as Articles Editor of the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Thompson served as in-house counsel for Cooperative Computing, Inc., specializing in software licensing and trademark counseling.
Mr. Thompson is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
